Pai to Pang Mapha Road Condition

To reach Pang Mapha, you must cross the **Kiew Lom Pass** (1,400 meters elevation). The descent towards Soppong is exceptionally steep with narrow switchbacks. Ensure your rental brakes are fully serviced, or hire a local driver to handle the mountain grades.

Rainy Season Road Reality (June - October)

During the wet season, the mountain roads around Pang Mapha are highly vulnerable to localized mudslides and slick surfaces. Water levels inside Lod Cave can rise rapidly, temporarily halting bamboo rafting inside the cave.
